Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in protecting KUSIHHU, its users and payment systems, and compliance with legal obligations where applicable.

Service maintenance and improvement

We may use technical, diagnostic and usage information to identify faults, monitor reliability and improve the website and app.

Marketing

Where you have chosen to receive marketing, we may use your email address to send product news, offers or updates.

Lawful basis: consent, or another lawful basis where permitted by applicable electronic-marketing law.

You may unsubscribe at any time. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending essential account, security, subscription or service messages.

5. Route Data and Location Services

Kusihhu Route Planner uses mapping, routing, geocoding and elevation services to provide route-planning functionality.

Route coordinates or search information may be sent to relevant service providers so they can return maps, routes, place results or elevation information.

You should consider the privacy implications before saving or sharing a route connected with your home, workplace, children, medical treatment or another sensitive location.

We do not claim ownership of the personal route data you create. We process it to provide and maintain the service in accordance with this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions.

6. Sharing Information

We do not sell personal information.

We may share limited information with service providers where necessary to operate KUSIHHU, including:

  • Wix for website hosting and website functionality;

  • Vercel for frontend application hosting;

  • Render for backend hosting and database services;

  • Hetzner for routing infrastructure;

  • MapTiler and other mapping, geocoding or map-tile providers;

  • Google and Google Play for Android distribution, subscription billing and purchase verification;

  • Stripe for website payment and subscription processing;

  • email and support-service providers;

  • security, diagnostic and performance providers;

  • professional advisers such as accountants, legal advisers or insurers;

  • courts, regulators, law-enforcement bodies or public authorities where disclosure is legally required.

Providers are given access only to information reasonably needed for their role. They may also process information under their own privacy policies where they act as independent data controllers.

We may also disclose information if necessary to protect the rights, safety, property or security of KUSIHHU, its users or others.

7.  Payment Providers

Google Play subscriptions

Google Play processes Android subscription payments and manages the customer’s Google Play payment method.

KUSIHHU receives limited subscription information required to verify the purchase, acknowledge it and provide the corresponding entitlement.

Cancelling or deleting a Kusihhu account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. Google Play subscriptions must be managed through Google Play.

Stripe website subscriptions

Stripe processes website subscription payments. Stripe may collect payment, transaction, device and fraud-prevention information directly from you.

KUSIHHU receives limited subscription and transaction information needed to manage your account and Pro access.

Cancelling or deleting a Kusihhu account does not necessarily cancel a Stripe subscription. Website subscriptions should be cancelled through the website subscription-management facility before requesting account deletion.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website and app may use cookies, browser storage or similar technologies for:

  • essential website and app functionality;

  • login and account sessions;

  • security and fraud prevention;

  • remembering preferences;

  • subscription-session handling;

  • performance monitoring;

  • analytics, where permitted.

Essential technologies may be used where necessary to provide the service.

Where non-essential analytics or marketing technologies require consent, we will request it through an appropriate cookie or consent control.

You can manage browser cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies or browser storage may prevent parts of the service from working correctly.

9. International Data Transfers

Some service providers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom or the country in which you live.

Where international-transfer rules apply, we take reasonable steps to use a lawful transfer mechanism. Depending on the destination and provider, this may include:

  • a UK or EU adequacy decision;

  • the UK International Data Transfer Agreement;

  • the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses;

  • EU Standard Contractual Clauses;

  • another safeguard or lawful exception recognised by applicable data-protection law.

You may contact support@kusihhu.com for further information about safeguards relevant to your personal information.

10. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Our general retention approach is:

  • account information is retained while your account remains active;

  • saved routes and associated route information are retained until you delete the route or account;

  • subscription and purchase-verification information is retained while needed to provide or verify the entitlement;

  • transaction, tax and accounting records may be retained for up to six years, or longer where legally required;

  • support enquiries are normally retained for up to two years after resolution, unless a longer period is needed for a dispute, security matter or legal requirement;

  • security, diagnostic and technical logs are retained for a limited period determined by their security and diagnostic purpose;

  • marketing information is retained until you unsubscribe or we determine it is no longer required.

When an account is deleted, information is removed from active systems where appropriate. Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until those backups are overwritten through the normal backup cycle.

We may retain limited information after account deletion where necessary for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security or dispute-resolution purposes.

Information that has been irreversibly anonymised may be retained because it no longer identifies an individual.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. These may include:

  • secure password hashing;

  • encrypted network connections;

  • access controls;

  • restricted administrative access;

  • secure hosting and database services;

  • transaction verification;

  • monitoring for faults, abuse and unauthorised activity;

  • backups and recovery procedures.

No website, application or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for using a secure password, keeping your login details private and contacting us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

12. Children and Young People

Kusihhu Route Planner is not directed specifically at children.

Anyone under 18 should use the service with the involvement of a parent or guardian where appropriate. A child or young person must not purchase a subscription unless they are legally permitted to do so or have appropriate permission.

If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, please contact support@kusihhu.com.

13. Your Data-Protection Rights

Depending on the law that applies, you may have the right to:

  • request access to personal information we hold about you;

  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;

  • request deletion of information in certain circumstances;

  • request restriction of processing in certain circumstances;

  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;

  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;

  • request transfer of information in a portable format where applicable;

  • complain to a data-protection regulator.

These rights are not absolute and may depend on the purpose and lawful basis for processing.

To exercise a right, contact support@kusihhu.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

We normally respond within one month, although the applicable law may allow additional time for a complex request.

14. Your Right to Object

You have the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests.

If you object, we will stop the relevant processing unless we have compelling legitimate grounds to continue or the processing is required to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

You may object to direct marketing at any time. If you object to direct marketing, we will stop using your personal information for that purpose.

15. Account Deletion

You can request deletion of a Kusihhu Route Planner account using the available in-app account-deletion option or by following the instructions on our Account Deletion page:

https://www.kusihhu.com/account-deletion

Deleting an account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through Google Play or Stripe.

You should cancel the subscription through the payment platform and allow any required cancellation or entitlement update to complete before deleting your account.

Account deletion may remove saved routes, preferences and other account information. This information may not be recoverable after deletion.

Limited records may be retained where required for tax, accounting, legal, security, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes.

16. Automated Subscription Checks

KUSIHHU may use automated checks to verify subscription status and determine whether Trial or Pro features should be available.

These checks use information received from Google Play, Stripe and our own account records. They do not involve profiling for advertising purposes.

If you believe your plan or entitlement has been determined incorrectly, contact support@kusihhu.com and we can review it.

17. Complaints

If you have concerns about how we use personal information, please contact us first so we can investigate.

Email: support@kusihhu.com

You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office:

https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/data-protection-complaints/

If EU data-protection law applies to you, you may also be entitled to complain to the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred.

18. Links to Other Services

Our website or app may contain links to third-party websites, stores, applications or services.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices or security of third-party services. You should read their privacy information before providing personal information to them.

19. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our services, providers or legal obligations.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we may also provide notice through the website, app or email where appropriate.
