KUSIHHU FOUNDING MEMBERS

Help shape the future of Kusihhu Route Planner

We’re inviting a limited group of Android users to test Kusihhu before its wider Google Play release, share honest feedback and help guide its development.

Approved members who actively participate will receive Kusihhu Pro for life.

ABOUT KUSIHHU

What is Kusihhu Route Planner?

Kusihhu Route Planner is a walking and cycling route planning app designed to help you create, save, manage and follow outdoor routes more easily.

Whether you are planning a local walk, a weekend ride or a longer adventure, Kusihhu brings practical route-planning tools together in one clear and easy-to-use app.

Plan walking and cycling routes

Create routes for walking, road cycling, gravel riding and mountain biking using routing suited to your chosen activity.

Elevation and gradient information

Review elevation profiles and gradient information before setting out, helping you understand the climbs and descents ahead.

GPX and TCX support

Import existing GPX routes, save routes to your account and export GPX or TCX files for use with compatible devices and services.

Live location

View your current position on the map while following a route, helping you keep track of your progress.

Full-screen map mode

Expand the map for a clearer route-following view while keeping your planned route and live location visible.

Multiple map options

Switch between street, satellite and Ordnance Survey map views to choose the level of detail that suits your route.

Path and route overlays

Display footpaths, bridleways, cycle routes and restricted byways across Great Britain and Ireland.

Save and manage routes

Save routes to your account, search your route collection and return later to view, edit, download or follow them.

Founding Members will be among the first people to use new features, identify improvements and help shape the future direction of Kusihhu Route Planner.

FOUNDING MEMBER BENEFITS

What Founding Members receive

Founding Members will receive more than early access. You will become part of the original community helping to shape Kusihhu Route Planner before its wider release.

Kusihhu Pro for life

Approved Founding Members who actively complete the testing programme will receive ongoing access to Kusihhu Pro without a subscription fee.

A voice in development

Share ideas, suggest improvements and help influence which features and refinements are prioritised as Kusihhu develops.

Founding Member recognition

Be part of the original group that helped improve Kusihhu Route Planner before its public Google Play launch.

Early access to new features

Try selected features and improvements before they are made available more widely, and help identify anything that could work better.

Direct contact and updates

Receive occasional development updates and communicate directly with the developer when reporting problems or sharing feedback.

Help build a better app

Your practical experience as a walker or cyclist can help make Kusihhu clearer, more useful and more reliable for future users.

Your feedback does not need to be positive. Honest criticism, unexpected behaviour and small usability observations are often the most valuable contributions a Founding Member can make.

Help us test Kusihhu in the real world

You do not need to be a professional tester or a technical expert.

We are looking for Android users who are willing to use Kusihhu on several occasions, explore the features most relevant to them and share clear, honest feedback.

Install through Google Play

Join the official closed test using the Google Play invitation link and keep the app installed throughout the testing period.

Test real activities

Plan a genuine walk or cycling route, explore a local area or try the app while preparing for an upcoming trip.

Report problems clearly

Tell us about errors, unexpected behaviour, unclear controls or anything that does not work as you expected.

Complete short feedback requests

Respond to occasional short questionnaires or emails about your experience during the testing period.

Use the app more than once

Open and use Kusihhu on several different days rather than completing a single installation or brief test.

Explore several features

Try a selection of tools such as route creation, saving and editing, elevation, map options, path overlays, full-screen mode and live location.

Suggest improvements

Share practical ideas that could make Kusihhu clearer, easier to use or more useful for walkers and cyclists.

Keep your tester access active

Remain opted into the closed test while participating so your testing activity continues to count throughout the programme.

Examples of useful testing

You might create and save a walking route, plan a road or gravel ride, import a GPX file, compare different map views, inspect an elevation profile, try live location or follow a route in full-screen mode.

You do not need to test every feature. Focus on the tools that best match your interests and tell us honestly how they worked for you.

How much time will it take?

Most individual testing activities take around 10 to 20 minutes.

We ask Founding Members to use the app on several occasions over a few weeks rather than completing all testing in one session.

There are no required positive reviews, ratings or public endorsements.

Founding Member status is based on genuine participation and useful feedback, not on giving Kusihhu favourable comments.

Could you be a Kusihhu Founding Member?

We are looking for a varied group of Android users who enjoy walking, cycling or exploring the outdoors.

You do not need advanced outdoor experience or technical knowledge. What matters most is that you are willing to use Kusihhu properly, share honest feedback and help us understand how the app performs for different people.

Walkers and hikers

Plan local walks, countryside routes, day hikes or longer adventures and tell us how useful the route-planning tools are.

Gravel and mountain-bike riders

Explore off-road routes, path overlays and different map views while helping us improve planning for mixed-surface riding.

Runners and dog walkers

Use Kusihhu to plan everyday outdoor routes and help us understand how well it works for shorter, more frequent activities.

Experienced route-planning users

Compare Kusihhu with the tools you already use and tell us where it performs well or where important improvements are needed.

Road cyclists

Create and review road routes, inspect elevation and gradients, and test GPX or TCX exports with your usual devices or services.

Bikepackers and tourers

Test longer routes, saved-route management, elevation information and the tools you would use when preparing for a trip.

People new to route planning

Your perspective is especially useful for identifying unclear instructions, confusing controls and features that could be easier to understand.

App and technology enthusiasts

Explore the app across different situations and devices, report technical problems clearly and suggest practical refinements.

What you will need?

To take part, you must have access to a compatible Android phone, a Google account that can join the closed Google Play test and a reliable internet connection for most route-planning features.

You must also be willing to keep the app installed, remain opted into the test and use it on several occasions during the programme.

You do not need to be exceptionally fit, own specialist equipment or complete difficult routes.

Everyday users are just as valuable as experienced walkers and cyclists. We want feedback from a genuine mix of abilities, interests, devices and experience levels.

Where can Founding Members be based?

Kusihhu currently focuses primarily on walking and cycling in the United Kingdom and Ireland, so applicants based in these areas may be particularly useful during this stage of testing.

Applications from elsewhere are also welcome where the available mapping and route-planning features can be tested effectively.

From application to Founding Member

Joining the Kusihhu Founding Members programme is straightforward.

Approved applicants will receive access to the official Google Play closed test, a short testing guide and simple ways to share feedback throughout the programme.

1. Apply to join

Complete the short application form and tell us about your Android device, outdoor interests and how you expect to use Kusihhu.

2. Receive your invitation

Approved applicants will receive an email containing the official Google Play testing link, installation instructions and a short tester guide.

3. Use Kusihhu over several weeks

Keep the app installed and use it on several different days. Try the features most relevant to your walking, cycling or route-planning interests.

4. Share useful feedback

Complete short feedback requests and report anything unclear, unexpected or difficult to use. Suggestions and constructive criticism are encouraged.

Questions about becoming a Founding Member

Here are answers to some common questions about the Kusihhu Founding Members programme, Android testing and lifetime Pro access.

Do I need to pay to join?

No. There is no charge to apply for or participate in the Kusihhu Founding Members programme.

Do I need software-testing experience?

No. We are looking for genuine walkers, cyclists and outdoor users rather than professional software testers.

You only need to be willing to use the app properly, report anything that does not work as expected and share honest feedback.

Do I need an Android phone?

Yes. The current Founding Members programme is focused on testing the Android version of Kusihhu through Google Play.

You must have access to a compatible Android device and a Google account that can join the closed test.

Why is the programme currently Android-only?

Kusihhu is preparing for its wider Google Play release, so the current testing programme is focused on Android devices.

The route planner can also be used through a web browser, but Founding Member testing activity must currently include the official Android app.

How much time will testing take?

Most individual testing activities take around 10 to 20 minutes.

Founding Members are expected to use the app on several different occasions over a few weeks rather than completing everything in a single session.

Do I need to test every feature?

No. You will receive a suggested testing guide, but you can focus primarily on the tools most relevant to your interests.

For example, a walker may concentrate on footpaths, elevation and live location, while a cyclist may test route profiles, GPX or TCX exports and full-screen route following.

What kind of feedback is useful?

Useful feedback includes bugs, confusing controls, unclear wording, unexpected behaviour, missing features and practical suggestions.

Small observations are welcome. You do not need to write a technical report.

Do I have to leave a positive review?

No. You will not be asked to provide a positive rating, review or public endorsement.

The purpose of the programme is to gather genuine feedback. Honest criticism is encouraged and will not affect your eligibility for Founding Member status.

Will everyone who applies be accepted?

No. Places are limited and applications will be reviewed to create a useful mix of Android devices, experience levels, locations and outdoor interests.

Submitting an application does not automatically provide access to the Google Play closed test.

How will I know whether I have been accepted?

Successful applicants will receive an email containing instructions for joining the Google Play closed test.

Please use an email address that you check regularly and remember to look in your junk or spam folder.

What does “Kusihhu Pro for life” mean?

Approved Founding Members who meaningfully complete the testing programme will receive ongoing access to the Kusihhu Pro plan without a subscription fee.

Lifetime Pro access is personal, non-transferable, has no cash value and remains available while Kusihhu Route Planner and the Pro service continue to operate.

When will lifetime Pro access be awarded?

Pro access will be awarded after meaningful participation has been completed.

This normally means keeping the app installed, using it on several occasions and providing useful feedback during the testing programme.

Can lifetime Pro access be removed?

Founding Member access may be withdrawn in cases of misuse, account sharing, fraudulent participation or serious breaches of Kusihhu’s terms.

It will not be removed simply because someone reports problems or provides critical feedback.

Can I leave the programme?

Yes. Participation is voluntary and you may leave the programme at any time.

Leaving before completing the testing activities may mean that Founding Member status and lifetime Pro access are not awarded.

Can I take part from outside the UK or Ireland?

Yes, although Kusihhu currently focuses primarily on walking and cycling in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Applicants from elsewhere are welcome where the available mapping and route-planning features can be tested effectively.

Will my information be kept private?

Application information will be used to review your application, administer tester access, communicate with you about the programme and manage any resulting Founding Member benefits.

Your information will not be displayed publicly without your permission. Please see the Kusihhu Privacy Policy for further details. Privacy Policy
